AI-assisted language tools for a non-profit association

Challenge

A non-profit association wanted to give its community access to AI-powered language tools without vendor lock-in or losing control over cost and data.

Approach

Built a Java/Spring Boot backend with Spring AI over Azure OpenAI, an Angular front end, and Apache POI-based document processing — AI responses are structured and validated through JSON Schema contracts.

Outcome

The association's community gets consistent, schema-validated AI language support inside a tool the association fully owns and operates.
