Construction, event and traffic planner for a transport company
Role: Software EngineerDuration: 2020 – 2022
Challenge
Construction sites, large public events and peak traffic were planned across disconnected tools and spreadsheets at a transport company. Conflicts between initiatives often surfaced too late.
Approach
Built an event-driven platform with an Angular front end and a Java/Spring Boot backend (Hibernate, JPA, Kafka as the event bus). Covered by JUnit, Mockito and BDD with Cucumber and Cypress, shipped through Jenkins to OpenShift. Worked closely with stakeholders on requirements and solution proposals.
Outcome
Planners get a single, always-current view of construction sites, events and traffic for the first time — conflicts get caught before they hit the road network.
